First home buyers flock to family friendly community Killara

FIRST home buyers have swooped in on Villa World’s 714-lot masterplanned Killara community with the listed developer selling-out its first four stages since launching last year.

Around 320 lots have been sold at the Logan Reserve project with first home buyers accounting for approximately 50 per cent of sales.

Villa World Queensland development director Peter Johnson said the affordability, lifestyle and convenient location was a draw card for first home buyers looking to get a foothold in the market.

“The opportunity to live in a safe and family-friendly environment has been a major attraction for young families, and Killara offers the perfect lifestyle for the on-the-go family looking for maximised convenience,” Mr Johnson said.

“We’ll be launching the first phase of Killara’s Adventure Zone early next year, which will add to the family fun lifestyle at Killara which is exciting for us and the community,” he said.

The first phase of Killara’s Adventure Zone will include an adventure playground, large kick-about space, walking tracks and picnic shelters.

Killara’s display village was recently launched giving potential buyers the opportunity to view a variety of home designs by 20 of the country’s leading builders.

“We recently launched the 29-home display village, which has been thoughtfully designed to ensure it meets all the needs of potential buyers,’ Mr Johnson said.

“We’re encouraging house hunters to take the opportunity to develop a proper understanding of what they want and need in a home, and we’ve managed to make it easier than ever before for buyers to do just that.

“With so many home options open for viewing at Killara, buyers have confidence knowing the quality of the product they are purchasing,” he said.

First home buyers Jennifer and Jason Peterson who stumbled upon Killara when driving, were quick to decide the community ticked all their boxes and have now been happily settled in the community for the past year.

“We were looking for something affordable, but within a community that we felt our two kids would love,” Mrs Peterson said.

“We had previously lived in Parkinson, closer to Brisbane, so it was a big move for us, but Villa World made the first home buying process very easy and we love it here.

“It’s a great community with a lot of families and we quickly became really close friends with our neighbours, we even met a lovely lady down the road who babysits our kids when we go out.

“Our home backs onto bushland, so we love kicking back outside and enjoying the view while the kids play in the yard,” she said.

Level lots in the current stages of Killara are priced from $190,000 and range in size from 312sq m up to 610sq m. House and land packages are also available from $394,885.

Killara has endless amenities at its doorstep, including Logan Hyperdome, Logan Reserve State School, Grand Plaza and Logan Hospital, and Griffith University Logan Campus. Killara also has public transport right on its doorstep.

Killara’s display village is located on 396-406 Chambers Flat Road, Logan Reserve and its sales centre is open between 10am and 5pm daily.
