Killara welcomes residents as sales momentum grows

SIGNIFICANT owner occupier buyer activity is ensuring the 726-lot Killara masterplanned community at Logan Reserve retains its mantle as Villa World’s fastest selling Queensland project.

Killara continues to exceed Villa World’s expectations with 105 lots sold since July, including a pre-Christmas splurge delivering 21 sales in December and a further six in the pipeline.

At least 12 homes are already occupied at Killara, which ultimately will comprise five boutique housing precincts offering a broad array of housing for families at various stages of life.

The strong and consistent sales run means than more than 200 lots have been snapped up within the community since its launch to the market just over 12 months ago.

As a result, the first two stages of Killara sold out while a limited number of lots remain for sale in the three current releases.

Villa World development manager Gary Hunter said owner occupier buyers had driven the pleasing sales momentum, accounting for 80 per cent of Killara’s sales.

The buyers have come predominantly from the Logan catchment area and most comprise first-home and second-home buyers.
“We are thrilled at how well Killara is resonating with the end user market,” Mr Hunter said.

“These buyers love that this is a parkland lifestyle in a semi-rural area but still close to everything they need on a day-to-day basis such as schools, shops and major transport corridors.

“It’s an opportunity to escape from suburbia without any inconvenience.”

In keeping with its bushland setting, homes at Killara will be surrounded by parkland, adventure trails, bike paths and playgrounds to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle for residents.

Construction is progressing on Killara’s extensive display village precinct which will showcase a wide array of house design options with 29 homes from 19 major and boutique builders to be showcased.

The display precinct is expected to be open for inspection in the first half of 2018.

Level lots in the current stages of Killara are priced from $187,000 and range in size from 301sqm to almost 600sqm. 

Located on Chambers Flat Road in Logan Reserve, Killara is just a short drive to major shopping, primary and secondary schools and Griffith University’s Logan campus.
