Villa World delivers a $530 million injection into Logan economy

VILLA World has welcomed more than 300 potential future residents and local guests to a Party in the Park celebration to mark the grand opening of Covella’s park earlier this month.

The leafy 1,502-lot community in Greenbank hosted a free day of family fun complete with a jumping castle, free food trucks, face painting, games, prizes and balloon twister.

Villa World Development Director Queensland Peter Johnson said the new park was a big hit, and saw a flood of locals and keen house hunters.

“The feedback was fantastic. Everyone loved the project, the new park and how much green space Covella will offer.

“We have quite a lot of homes underway now, so people were wandering the streets eyeing off the new home designs and chatting to our sales team.

“Families came to join the fun of the day but it resulted in a lot of interest from potential buyers as well,” he said.

The park introduces the launch of Covella’s Activ8 program, which encourages residents to lead healthy lifestyles by providing an abundance of outdoor activity options.

“As part of the Active8 concept Covella will promote an active community featuring parks, walking and running tracks and access to active and passive recreation zones,” Mr Johnson said.

“There will be something for the whole family – ample space for the little ones to play, recreation zones and plenty of opportunities to socialise.

“The first residents who move into Covella will have access to key amenities, such as the park, which is not usually the case in such early stages of masterplanned communities,” he said.

Houses are currently under construction and residents are expected to start moving into their homes in the coming weeks.

Mr Johnson said Covella is a lifestyle choice for families and Villa World’s vision goes beyond just providing housing.

“We’re building a liveable, connected and beautiful community where families can thrive and truly feel at home,” he said.

Covella offers blocks of land up to 665 sq m at a starting price of $206,000. Buyers can select the lot builder of their choice.

With almost 50-hectares, or more than a third of the entire site devoted to green and open space, Covella residents will have easy access to a planned central community garden, parkland, walking and bike paths, bushland, sports fields, playgrounds and exercise hubs.

Covella will be developed in 27 stages in four boutique precincts over the next five to seven years and will eventually be home to 4000 people.

The community is also serviced by the Greenbank Shopping Centre and the Pub Lane Tavern just 1km down the road and it is just a short drive to major shopping at Springfield Lakes and Grand Plaza.

Located 34km south of the Brisbane CBD, Covella is close to schools, while the University of Southern Queensland is just 15 minutes away.

Residents will be just 12 minutes from Greater Springfield and have easy access to major arterial roads such as the Logan and Centenary motorways.

Covella’s sales centre is open from 10am to 5pm daily on Pub Lane in Greenbank.
