Villa World welcomes first residents to Covella

ASX-listed developer Villa World has welcomed its first residents to the $800 million Covella community following a string of land sales to the tune of $30 million.

Owner-occupiers and families who have been quick to secure a foothold in the high growth area of Greenbank in Logan have started to move into their homes this week.

Villa World’s Development Director QLD Peter Johnson said sales within Covella are tracking well since its launch late last year.

“Covella has been able to cater to the demand for an affordable and quality lifestyle in Greenbank which is continuing to grow in popularity as an active area for new home buyers,” Mr Johnson said.

“Covella’s sales to date are a great reflection of this and we’re excited to welcome the first home owners to the community while continuing to build on the sales momentum.

“A number of the buyers are families who have been drawn not only to the home itself, but the facilities on offer here at Covella.

“We recently launched the Promenade Park which is at the entry of a 6.4 kilometre riparian network of parklands, that will evolve as the development proceeds to become the centrepiece of the community” he said.

The park has introduced Villa World’s active8 concept to the leafy 1,502-lot community which promotes active and healthy living with walking and running tracks as well as access to active and passive recreation zones.

Sarah Parker, her partner Shaun Pillay and their two children are the very first residents to move to Covella and she said the lifestyle community is the perfect location to raise a family.

“The safety aspect of community living was a major buying incentive for us, our property is positioned in a cul-de-sac with no continual traffic so we can rest assured that our two kids will be playing safely in the street,” Miss Parker said.

“My partner works in the city, and he’s able to drop our kids off at daycare on the way, so we can get everything done in one trip, which is very handy.

“There is a shopping centre down the road which just adds to the convenience, and Covella has plenty of parklands and playgrounds for our kids to enjoy.

Miss Parker said their property backs onto vacant land with beautiful views, and they will be taking advantage of the facilities and natural surroundings enveloping Covella.

“Since moving in, my three-year-old son has been asking to go to the park every single day, so we’ll definitely get plenty of use out of the new park and nature boardwalk,” she said.

“A young couple with two kids are moving into our street, so it will be great to get to know our neighbours and watch our kids grow up in the community together.”

Mr Nauman has just moved into his new home at Covella with his family, and said they are taking advantage of the active lifestyle and new opportunities community living is brought.

“We’re excited to be raising our children in such a beautiful and safe community,” Mr Nauman said.

“We’ve just enrolled our five-year-old son into Greenbank State School and we have a little girl on the way, so it’s all happening for us.

“Covella has a number of parks that we’ll be able to take the kids to play, and I’m also hoping to buy a bike to ride along the tracks that run throughout the community.

Having viewed other masterplanned communities and thoroughly exploring their buying options, Mr Nauman said Covella was quite the stand out.

“The affordability and value of Covella was a major selling point for us and we’re really excited to be putting our money towards owning our own home instead of renting,” he said.

“We’re looking forward to starting a new chapter, making friends, getting to know our new neighbours and we can’t wait to explore everything the community has to offer.”

The community is Villa World’s largest Queensland project and will be developed in 27 stages, featuring four boutique precincts.

The community is serviced by the Greenbank Shopping Centre and Pub Lane Tavern just 800 metres down the road and it is just a short drive to major shopping at Springfield Lakes and Grand Plaza.

Located 34km south of the Brisbane CBD, Covella is close to schools and the University of Southern Queensland is just 15 minutes away.

Residents will be just 12 minutes from Greater Springfield and have easy access to major arterial roads such as the Logan and Centenary motorways.

Covella’s sales centre is open from 10am to 5pm daily on Pub Lane in Greenbank.
